Company director Matts first introduction to the world of entertainment came from his father Steve. Steve played in many bands throughout the UK and Matt joined the team as a DJ in the mid nineties. Matt and his father continued 
playing the circuit, providing music for many dinner dances, balls. These included annual ceremonies for Yamaha Music at Whitehall Palace, London and the Prime Minister’s Balls during John Major’s time in office in the mid-nineties.
Locally at this time, Matt was presenting his own radio show. This led to an opportunity at BBC Radio Northampton. Between 1994 and 1997 he assisted with the production of many local and regional programmes, working alongside many presenters.
During the late nineties Matt continued to establish a reputation as a skilled perfo
rmer, entertaining countless audiences at private functions. His frequent appearances at renowned hotels, conference centres and stately homes, as well as high profile venues such as Kelmarsh Hall, Rushton Hall, Brampton Grange, Dodmoor House, Pipewell Hall, The Church Resaurant, Holdenby House, Fawsley Hall & Castle Ashby have cemented his place amongst the first choice entertainers. In addition to maintaining a strong association with these venues, Matt also found time to secure resident DJ posts in many Northampton pubs and clubs. During this time 'Scottish and Newcastle' sought Matt’s services to launch many new venues across the south coast at venues including Rendezvous (Weymouth), The Lido Club (Truro) and Sailors (Newquay). The campaign involved working with recognised names such as Radio1 DJ’s Dave Pearce and Zoë Ball.
In 1998 Castle Ashby (Northamptonshire) invited Matt to join their entertainment line up. His quality performances led to further opportunities to entertain at high profile functions, including the former England football ace, David Seaman’s wedding reception. Matt has also entertained Gillian Taylforth, Paul Gascoigne, Ian Wright, Paul Ince, Sol Campbell, David Platt, and the list goes on…
The start of the new millennium brought with it an opportunity to make a television appearance. Courtesy of London Weekend Television, Matt appeared as a ‘Picker’ on Cilla Black’s cult TV show ‘Blind Date’.
In 2000 Matt began the company that is now 'Potter Group' and following years networking put together a team of DJs. This team proved succesful leading to residencies at Hard Rock Café and the 'Revolution Vodka Bar' chain. 
In 2004 the team was invited to become resident DJs for the ‘Richardson Group’ (Northampton). Their numerous venues play host to many musical talents such as the Ginger Pig band, and also artists with world-wide acclaim including ‘The James Taylor Quartet’ and ‘Lemar’. More recently Matt was given the opportunity to appear alongside Amy Winehouse, when she appeared at the Black Bottom Club.
In May 2009 they supplied DJ services for the 'Players After Party' following 'Northampton Saints Rugby Club' winning the 'European Challange Cup Final' at Twickenham, London.
In late 2010 'Potter Group' was selected to supply the entertainment and theming for the Lakeside EFW official launch celebration. Lakeside EFW is one of the UK's flagship energy recovery facilities. The function attracted many high profile guests including HRH Prince Philip the Duke Of Edinburgh.
In 2011 we expanded our services with 'special effect solutions'. We supply sound, lighting and special effects directly to customers and we as also dry hire our products to other companies. In March 2011 we were pleased to supply lighting and special effects for a party to be featured on MTVs 'Sweet 16' programme.
Aside our success with corporate function and weddings looking into 2012 Potter Group has become the first choice company for 18th, 21st & student parties throughout the midlands. In late 2011, for a clients daughters 21st birthday, Potter Group managed and supplied a full entertainmnet solution including booking and presenting the 2011 'X Factor' finalists 'The Risk'.

reputation and continue to delight audiences at a variety of functions and venues. Director Matt, has a passion and talent for entertaining which makes running his entertainment company a daily pleasure.
